Extreme sports
Deeply understanding the psychology behind extreme actions sports is one of Adi's true passions. She began her journey as a snowboarder, and then took her path into competitive coaching. Being a snowboarder (and now mountain biker as well) and competitive sport coach over the years, and now a mental performance coach, she has become familiar with many of the mindset challenges that come with high-risk sports.
With a Master’s Degree (M.A.) in Sport Psychology, a full certification with the American Assocation of Snowboard Instructors (AASI) and certified as a USA Snowboard Association (USASA) Coach, she has coached athletes at every level. Having coached closely with Team Utah Moutain Sports and US Snowboarding, and her background as an athlete, means that she absolutely understands how vital an effective mindset within the environment is for optimal performance.
Having spent so much time in these extreme sport environments, combined with her education in sport psychology, she specializes in working with extreme action sport athletes and teams. She understands the ins and outs of what may arise in these environments and holds the tools to overcome the mental challenges - challenges that accompany sports with high speeds, great heights, and a relatively low margin for error - and enhance performance. Having ran into many of these challenges herself, she has also, time and time again, observed others struggle through these types of obstacles as well. She truly values helping others understand the environment more fully and how it affects their psychological state, and therefore their performance.
‘Inside Your Shred’ means understanding and discovering what goes on internally inside your shred. Whether it's snowboarding, skiing, skateboarding, surfing, mountain biking, etc., Adi breaks down the individualized pieces to then build them back up to your peak. She strongly believes the more understanding there is around how the psychological state shows up in an extreme sport environment, it will empower those athletes performing within it.
